Radio

so when i was little i use to play with the radio, much to my dad's dismay. I use to wonder when i turned it on and off again and again if the person stooped talking, or if the music stopped playing and if the whole thing was just at my command. It wasn't until later that i realized my mistake and realized that those people keep talking whether or not anyone is listening The radio talks all day and all night, 365 days a year, and year after year. Each station proclaiming its particular message.

Now then as i thought peacefully about all of this a thought came to my mind, how many of my friend have i heard say "well God may talk to you Katie, but i don't ever hear him." And how many times have i thought to my self in a prayer, "God i just don't hear you directing me anymore where are you? where is your voice in my life?" And i think most any human being on this lost planet can relate to this cry of loneliness "God i don't hear you, are you even speaking to me?"

I believe the answer is yes. God is always reaching out to us, even when we don't hear Him or see Him working in our lives. He is always talking - putting out His message to us whether or not anyone is listening or paying Him any attention. The choice is ours to "tune in" to Him. i and you both have a choice if we will turn on the "radio" and hear His message and plan for our lives.

Now as i was thinking about all of this another thought occurred to me "Lord, a lot of the times Your message doesn't seem clear, its like i only get part of it" and then another thought hit me ... How often have i heard my friends (or myself) complain about the "cracking," or "static" on a particular station? How many times have i diligently worked with my "wires" and such to make the little radio in my room pic up my favorite station clearly? I remember one time where i totally re arranged my desk area, moving things, taking things away etc just so i could hear one particular station

As i thought quietly about it, a thought came to my head - "Katie what kind of things could you move and even just take away so you could hear My voice more clearly?"...

And so 2 questions are left to be answered by you, Are you tuned in to hear His voice? and What things can you move in your life (or take out of your life) so you can hear Him more clearly ?
